Launched in late 2021, Starling are a production company committed to making beautiful work and pushing the boundaries of what is possible.
We were approach by BCMH to help deliver a sleek digital experience that would showcase the vast talent of directors that Starling represent.
It was clear from the start of this project that due to the nature of the business, Starling’s website would require a lot of media, especially video. Being able to easily manage video assets whilst also retaining speed and usability of the site would be the key challenge for this web project.
Using video hero elements along with inline “roll over” hover quick previews required a fair amount of discussion to make sure whichever solution we ended up with was both robust but also could be fully managed by the client. Utilising Vimeo pro and a custom built video Javascript library we were able to build a platform that checked all of these requirements.
